Getting Started

New to library research?  Check out some of the tutorials and other resources in the box on the left to get you started.

Are you familiar with using the resources available in the library, but would like to know which ones are best for researching Medieval history topics? Click on the tabs above for more information.

Not sure how to develop a good search strategy, need help using the library resources, or not finding information on your topic?  Contact one of the History librarians for help: Laurie MacWhinnie or Janet Brackett.

ESSENTIAL: You need to have a library barcode on your UMF student ID so you can check out library materials, request books online from other libraries, access materials on reserves for your course, and use library databases from off campus. If you haven't already gotten one, stop by the Access Services (main desk) on the first floor of the library and get one added to your ID.
